A little more than a year ago, Weink was just an idea. A crazy one, some said. A platform where books are free and authors get paid. A home for stories that might never make it to bookstores, but absolutely deserve to be read.
As authors ourselves, we knew the need was real. But we didn’t expect to reach 100,000 readers and authors this fast.
Last week, I finally saw both Play Store and Apple Store tick past “10K+ downloads” and jump to 50K+. My victory dance was warranted because we knew we were already there; we were just waiting for the world to catch up.
Today, Weink is live in 220 countries.
With over 1,000 books on the app, more than 500 indie authors already published, and tens of thousands more waiting behind the scenes.
We just launched our Author Portal, a game-changer that gives writers full control to publish and earn, independently. This is only the beginning! We’re building the best tools in the industry, with one goal in mind: helping authors make a real living doing what they love, all while keeping books accessible.
