Aarohi Sharma, a 21-year-old chaos-brained hacker, thinks in code and sarcasm, not consequences. With her best friends Tanya and Kabir, she designs a prank: during the live demo, the big screen will flash a fake, ridiculous “Marriage Certificate: Arjun Malhotra & Aarohi Sharma.” They laugh over noodles and energy drinks, confident this will just mortify him. In the middle of this war lives her constant—Aayan’s old silver locket. Her brother died in a suspicious car accident when she was eighteen; before that, he pressed the locket into her hand and begged her never to take it off. She never knew it held more than grief.
One night the chain snaps; a sliver of metal flashes inside. Arjun notices its weight, mentions it to his sharp best friend, Vivaan Khanna, who warns that nothing is ever “just sentimental” in their world. Arjun’s uncle, a powerful board member, grows nervous, muttering about an “old accident” that must stay buried. At a charity gala, rival businessman Vikrant Seith corners Aarohi, speaks of Aayan with chilling familiarity, and taps her locket like a threat.
The danger circles closer through dark games and stupid choices: Riya, Arjun’s jealous ex and Vikrant’s secret lover, orchestrates a kidnapping that turns into comedy chaos when Aarohi terrorizes her own abductors. But the second kidnapping is not funny. Vikrant’s men take Aarohi for real, demanding the hidden data Aayan stole years ago. Only when the locket finally breaks and a microchip falls out do Aarohi and Arjun understand: Aayan hid proof of Vikrant’s crimes—and of Arjun’s uncle’s cover-up—in the necklace she has worn like a talisman.
As Vikrant leaks fake evidence blaming Aarohi for her brother’s death, she breaks, doubting her own hands. Arjun, forced to confront his family’s sins and his own silence, turns against his uncle. With Vivaan, he tracks Vikrant’s lair. In a warehouse full of guns and secrets, Vikrant aims at Aarohi; Arjun steps in front of the bullet, finally choosing her over his untouchable image. Bleeding, he confesses he should have fought for truth sooner.
Aarohi uses the chip and her code to stream Vikrant’s empire and the uncle’s crimes to the world. The men who ruined Aayan fall. The contract months end—but instead of walking away, Aarohi and Arjun, bruised, loud, and stupidly soft for each other, admit the truth: somewhere between a glitch and a gunshot, their fake marriage became the only real thing either of them trusts. Years later, with kids hacking the smart home, parents finally at peace, Aarohi looks at Arjun and decides this is one mistake she’ll never correct.
