Weink Opens Language Waitlists for Authors Around the World
Weink has always been built around one simple belief: stories should be easier to share, easier to discover, and accessible to more readers. Today, we are taking one more step in that direction!
Authors can now register books in languages other than English through the Weink Author Portal and join a language-specific waiting list. Publishing is still currently available in English only, but this new feature lets authors prepare their books, build their profiles, and let us know which languages they want to see on Weink next.

Why We Created Language Waitlists
Weink is already home to readers and authors from around the world, and we know that not every story is written in English. Authors can now prepare to publish for free in multiple languages by joining Weink’s language waitlists!
Language carries culture, emotion, humor, rhythm, and identity. Opening Weink to more languages is an important part of our long term mission: helping more authors reach readers while keeping books free and accessible.
But adding new languages properly takes care. Each language needs the right moderation, platform support, reader experience, and discovery tools. Instead of guessing which languages to open next, we want to listen to the authors who are already ready to publish.
That is where language waitlists come in.
How It Works
Authors can now add a book in their chosen language directly from the Author Portal.
Once the book is registered, they can join the waiting list for that language and see how many books are already waiting. This helps authors prepare early, and it helps Weink understand where the strongest demand is coming from.
With this new feature, authors can:
- Add a book in their preferred language
- Join a language specific waiting list
- See how many books are already waiting in that language
- Prepare their author profile in advance
- Get notified when publishing opens
Once a language reaches 500 books on the waiting list, Weink will begin opening publishing support for that language.
Publishing Is Still English Only for Now
For the moment, English remains the only language officially open for publishing on Weink.
The new waitlists do not mean every language is live yet. They are the first step toward future language launches. Authors can prepare their books now, while Weink gathers the tools to be able to support the other languages.
This way, when a new language opens, we can do it with more confidence and better support for both authors and readers.
A More International Future for Weink
Weink’s mission is to support indie authors, protect creative freedom, and make reading accessible. Opening to more languages is a natural part of that. More languages means more stories, more voices, and more chances for readers to discover books they might never have found otherwise.
