Weink Has Been Longlisted for Renew the Book 2026

We’re excited to share that Weink has been longlisted for Renew the Book 2026, an innovation programme recognising new ideas and concrete innovation in the book industry.

Renew the Book selected seven initiatives for its 2026 longlist from a total of 15 submissions. The competition highlights projects that are helping the book world move forward, from digitalisation and content creation to new ways of supporting readers, authors, publishers, booksellers, libraries, and the wider literary ecosystem.

For Weink, being included on this longlist is a meaningful moment.

Why This Matters to Us

Weink was created around a simple belief: books should be easy to discover, free to read, and fairer for the people who write them.

Our platform brings readers and independent authors together in a way that keeps stories accessible while helping authors earn from their work. Readers can explore books for free, discover new voices, and support authors simply by reading and engaging with stories.

For authors, Weink is built around creative freedom. Writers keep their rights, do not have to publish exclusively with us, and can earn through reader engagement, ads, donations, subscriptions, and other support features as the platform grows.

Being recognised by Renew the Book 2026 means a lot because it places Weink among initiatives working to rethink what the future of books can look like.

A Platform Built for Readers and Authors

The book industry is changing quickly. Readers want more flexible ways to find stories they love. Authors want visibility, fairer compensation, and more control over their creative work.

Weink sits at that meeting point.

For readers, Weink offers free access to books from start to finish, with discovery tools designed to help them find stories that match their mood, favourite tropes, genres, and reading habits.

For authors, Weink offers a space to publish without gatekeeping, keep ownership of their work, and reach an international audience.

Our goal is not just to create another reading app. It is to build a more open, supportive, and community driven way for stories to travel between the people who write them and the people who love reading them.

What Comes Next

The Renew the Book 2026 longlist is only one step in the competition, but for us, it is already a wonderful recognition of the work behind Weink and the community growing around it.

We’re grateful to the readers, authors, and early supporters who have believed in this idea from the beginning.

There is still so much we want to build, from better discovery to more author tools, stronger community features, and new ways to make reading accessible while helping writers be valued for their work.

Being longlisted is a reminder that the future of books is still being written.

And we’re very happy to be part of that story.
