The Upper East Side
Alessio Genovese is the current mafia boss of one of the famous five Italian families from the Roaring Twenties.
To the general knowledge of the public, the mafia was not a threat after the successful takedown of the main mafia bosses, but little did everyone know that, in the dangerous underground world of gangsters and criminals, in general, there was a kingpin boss who controlled it all.
Alessio Genovese was a descendant of the Genovese family and was the most violent and brutal boss in the current day.
No one dared go against his orders out of fear that their entire family would be slaughtered with no questions asked and no evidence left to tie the murders back to him.
After writing an article for The New York Times, much to Alessio's annoyance, Alessio and Aria are both thrown into the spotlight, and the general public can't get enough of the two as a potential couple. Rumors fly, and the world falls in and out of love with their seemingly on-and-off-again relationship.
Someone should have told Arianna Vincent that she shouldn't play games with the king, or she might just get hurt.
Too bad Aria didn't care that he was King or that gangsters had no feelings.
To her, that "King" was just plain and simple Alessio; definitely not Alessio King of the mafias.
