Seducing The Plot
Evie knew that publishing erotica wasn’t a panacea for her dire financial situation. The catchphrase ‘sex sells’ had merit because writing erotica kept her afloat. Then, just as everything was going fine, writer’s block hit her one day. It gripped her for the last four months, thereby screwing up her creative hustle.
She wasn’t just stressed over blank pages; she was unemployed as a result of misplaced trust. She’s anxious because in four weeks and four days, she will turn forty. The things she’d sworn off, namely dating, romance, and sex, were now occupying her thoughts rent-free.
Was it a midlife crisis? Most likely. Her friends unanimously pointed out that her lack of intimacy had caused the dry spell, thus affecting her creativity. They had a simple solution to her dilemma: get laid. They must be kidding, she reckoned. If only it were that easy. But her next-door neighbor might just be the limit breaker they’d all wished for her.
