The 180 Degree Rule

When struggling indie filmmaker Christopher finally gets the chance to take his work beyond his small hometown, he thinks he's finally getting the break he's been waiting for. There’s only one problem: the star who wants to join his film is Phoenix O'Brien, Hollywood's most famous porn star.

Phoenix O'Brien, better known as Nico, has already tried to prove he can be more than a sex symbol. After a disastrous romance film that was criticized for both his acting and its shameless sexualization of him, he is determined to make one last attempt at becoming a serious actor—and Christopher's script could be the opportunity he's been waiting for.

As production begins, Christopher and Nico find themselves drawn to each other, and the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to tell where the performance ends and their real feelings begin.

But this is Hollywood in 1975, at the height of the Golden Age of Pornography. Here, sex sells, reputations can be destroyed overnight, and privacy is almost impossible to keep.

Nico and Christopher can keep acting. But once the cameras stop rolling, they can no longer hide behind the script.
