I foresaw my death the day I walked down the aisle.
When the necklace subduing my powers broke, I began to see ghosts of my future self killed in different ways. Duke Nox Montreal, my killer and husband to be, has a secret affair with my best friend, who is already carrying his child. Together, they planned my death in order to fully gain my assets.
The day I fled from my wedding was the same day I brought back to life a corpse with only a fragment of its former soul. I met him here, Harriette Beaumont, the first prince of the empire and a vampire I unwittingly spawned. Due to our shared history of betrayal, we have banded together in an effort to see those responsible for our pain brought to justice, and to do so with interest.
